Jean-Luc Jamet
Winemaker Profile | Rhone, France
The Domaine Jean-Luc Jamet was established in 2013 when Jean-Luc Jamet decided to forge his own path after decades of working alongside his brother Jean-Paul at the family estate, Domaine Jamet. Since then, he has been managing approximately eight hectares of vineyards with his son Benoît, including five hectares in the renowned Côte-Rôtie appellation, two hectares in Côtes-du-Rhône, and one hectare classified as Vin de Pays.
The Domaine places great emphasis on sustainable viticulture. Jean-Luc Jamet, with over 46 vinifications of experience, remains true to tradition, bringing his extensive expertise to the estate. Meanwhile, his son Benoît, who joined the operation in 2022, contributes fresh energy. Their work is grounded in meticulous care for each parcel, cultivating five emblematic grape varieties: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Syrah, and Pinot Noir.

The philosophy of the estate is rooted in a deep respect for the vines and soils. Vineyard work is carried out with minimal intervention to preserve the natural characteristics of the terroir. Jean-Luc Jamet firmly believes that the diversity of the various terroirs in Côte-Rôtie creates a complementary relationship, which is brought to life through meticulous blending.
