Domaine Confuron-Gindre
Winemaker Profile | Burgundy, France
The Domaine Confuron-Gindre was founded in 1989 by François Confuron and is located in Vosne-Romanée, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Since 2014, he has been supported by his son Édouard, who has gradually begun to shape the wines with his own influence.
The estate cultivates approximately 11 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Gevrey-Chambertin. Among its standout sites are the Grand Cru Échezeaux, the Premier Cru vineyards Aux Brûlées and Les Beaux Monts in Vosne-Romanée, as well as additional parcels in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin.

The philosophy of the Domaine places great emphasis on sustainable viticulture. Natural methods such as plowing and pruning are employed to prevent diseases, and vineyard work is aligned as much as possible with the lunar cycle. Old vines are highly valued, and the practice of Millerandage contributes to the concentration of the wines. Depending on the vintage, whole-cluster fermentation is also utilized.
